Greetings in Christ,

I hope all is well with you as you read this quick update.

Ministry has been full over the last few months, causing us to run, run, run, and we are excited to share with you some of the things that are happening.

First though, we would like to let everyone know that Melissa will be coming to the U.S. for the month of September.  Her mother is being flown out to San Diego to undergo an important surgery on her lungs.  Please keep her, (Judy) in your prayers.  Melissa will be flying into LAX on Saturday, August 30th.  She will be in SoCal until Monday, Sept 30th.  If anyone has a car she could use during this time, please let us know.

Melissa would like to share with a couple of churches while she is there, and she has the Sundays open during this time.  Let us know if your church would like her to share about this ministry.

Brad, Andrea and Josiah all went on a 6 day evangelic river trip to Nova Olinda de Norte and the surrounding communities.  Both Andrea and Josiah led people to Christ for the first time using the wordless bracelets.  They also did much of the translation work for the team.  They did soccer outreaches, children’s outreaches and evangelized everywhere they went.  Many people came to know Christ as their Lord and Savior on this trip.  It was unbelievable the way God moved, but for us believers, we know that the impossible is possible and the unbelievable happens through the power and might of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ! https://www.facebook.com/millers.brazil/media_set?set=a.755426864507439.100001203967024&type=3

We also did many outreaches in the city of Manaus in the last 2 weeks with a second group.  We held 8 outreaches in 12 days, ministering to 1000 people.  Many children and adults accepted Christ for their first time during these outreaches and others recommitted themselves to God.  We also held a medical clinic at 5 of the 8 places, seeing to the physical needs of the children and young mothers.  We fed the people at each place also.  https://www.facebook.com/millers.brazil/media_set?set=a.765659920150800.1073741856.100001203967024&type=3

4) Mission Base

We are currently in the process of transferring the documents of the mission base into our name, as we are buying it.  This is where we live.  We have paid for half of the base thus far through your generous donations and are waiting for the Lord to supply the rest.  We are confident that He will!

I implore you to consider supporting this ministry.  Ask yourself this.  Could I “fast” one $5 latte once a month and use that money to support this ministry?  And this is not a burden upon anyone.  But I say that if you were to give to the work of God, not just $5, but in abundance and with faith in God, your rewards would be meted out from the Lord in the same cup you gave, and would be packed down, and overflowing.  And you would each be participating in the ongoing work of God.

As we work hard for our Lord Jesus Christ here in the jungle and for your edification and growth where you are, so too, the work that you do can be used for our edification and growth.

1Co 9:11  If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?

2Co 4:6  For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
